Newborn Sessions
I have spots during the weekdays for Small Newborn Sessions and these can be booked at a moment's notice, but if you are looking to do a Full Newborn Session and/or Family Portrait Add On, we can only do the shoot on a Sunday or Monday.
The Sunday spots can be fully booked at times as that is also when I do most of the family and maternity sessions. If you contact me 2-3 weeks in advance, we can make sure to reserve a spot for you.
Family & Maternity Sessions
I do weekday morning sessions that you can book any time. Weekends are more popular of course.
There are some Sunday that I am full up, so you will want to get in touch 2-3 weeks in advance just to be safe. The important thing to consider with outdoor sessions, is that we are dependent on the weather. If it rains, we have to reschedule or change it to a studio session (which can fit up to five people). There is no cost to reschedule.
For the lakeside locations, it is also important that there is no fog or gloomy clouds in the sky. If that is the case, we can either reschedule or move to a forest location where we don't need to have pretty skies.
If you're wanting the photos done by a particular time (for instance, if you are wanting to give prints as gifts or send them as Christmas cards), make sure you book the session well in advance in case there are a few bad weather weekends in a row.
Milestone / Cake Smash Sessions
If you are keen to do a Milestone photoshoot (with or without cake), you will want to make sure it is before the birthday (or maybe even on the actual date). I usually do birthday shoots from 3 weeks beforehand up to the day of the birthday. It's best to get in touch a few weeks beforehand, especially if you have a special idea to customize the shoot with a certain colour scheme or outfit. Once again, it is a bit easier to find a date if you are able to do a weekday, as weekends are busier.
