Family Photoshoot in Te Anau
I love photographing families and creating images that they will get to look back on for the rest of their lives.

Outdoor Photoshoots
Living in beautiful Te Anau, it makes total sense to get your photos done outside. Your family session can be done on the beach or you can choose a forest area like Ivon Wilson Park or the Waterpark. If you have a different location in mind, let me know.
A beach photoshoot will have to be done during 'golden hour', just after sunrise or just before sunset. Golden hour changes all the time, but I can let you know what time that will be if you message me. A forest photoshoot can be done at any time of day.

Studio Photoshoots
Luckily, we can also do the photoshoot in my home studio. I can fit up to five people in the studio, and you can choose between a white, black or dark wood backdrop.

How long will the shoot be?
The photoshoot is about 45 minutes long for a regular photoshoot and 1.5 hours for an Extended Family Photoshoot.
We also have a 15 minute 'warm up' beforehand, where I just spend some time getting to know you, and then a 30 minute 'grace period' after the shoot, so we can really take our time and not feel rushed at any point!
We had wanted to get some family photos since we had had our third and final child but knew that our very busy kids wouldn’t tolerate having to stand or sit still.
Liz K Photography was a perfect answer as we chose the scenery that suited our children and ourselves and Liz was super understanding of our kids not wanting to stop moving.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
If it rains on the day of your outdoor shoot, I will get in touch to either reschedule or possibly move the shoot to my studio if it's time-sensitive. If anyone is unwell or you need to move the shoot date for any other reason, just let me know as soon as you can. There are no deposits or cancellation fees, and we can always find another suitable date.

What if my kids are not very cooperative?

I have experience with children of all ages and temperaments. I am totally happy working with shy kids, mischievous kids, toddler tantrums and sulky teenagers. I am usually very successful at getting the best out of these kids, so please don't worry. If we do have trouble (such as a child that is suddenly teething and can't be soothed), we may decide to try again on another day. In this case, there is no cost for a reshoot.
